Du 10 au 15 avril, à Cadier, c’est tenue une réunion SMA internationale des laïcs missionnaires. Environ 30 membres associés étaient rassemblés et venaient des États-Unis, d’Argentine, du Bénin, de France, d’ Espagne, d’Italie, de Pologne, des Pays-Bas et du Conseil général de  Rome.

Le premier jour chaque groupe a parle de leurs structures, de leur organisation. Comment ils se sont organisés, comment ils sont reliés aux prêtres SMA et les activités qu'ils développent. Un total de 9 présentations, chacune avec son propre caractère, en anglais, français et espagnol.
Il ya des groupes qui sont très près de la SMA, il ya des groupes qui sont plus loin, même des groupes qui sont encore nouveaux dans leur développement. Chacun possède son propre caractère, mais ce qui les unit est l'amour pour l'Afrique et la volonté de travailler pour les populations africaines dans le besoin.
En Espagne, il y a deux groupes à Madrid et à Grenade. Ce groupe de Madrid, essaye d’appuyer les SMA, et se préoccupent des réfugiés africains à Madrid.
Nous apprenons qu'un nouveau groupe au Bénin est né. Le premier groupe de laïcs au sein de la SMA en Afrique. 7 membres se sont déjà engagés à collaborer avec la SMA en donnant priorité à  la jeunesse. Ainsi, un certain nombre de membres à entreprendre une formation en psychologie  et d'autres se sont engagés sur un programme d'alphabétisation.

Trois provinces ont déjà une vaste expérience dans la formation des laïcs: le néerlandais, français et américains. Pour beaucoup, des laïcs à travers ces groupes ont été envoyés en Afrique et où s’y trouve actuellement.
Le mardi, l'accent a été mis sur ce qui lie les différents groupes. Tout d'abord il est bon de voir que même différents, nous sommes identiques. Même si vous sommes éloignés, l'engagement missionnaire pour  l'Afrique et les Africains est ce qui nous lie à la SMA, et c’est un pivot. Bien que nous ayons des relations différentes avec la SMA.

La formation pour la plupart des groupes a un rôle important.

Également l’envie que de nouveaux groupes viennent se joindre  en tant que membres associés. Et nous parlons les uns avec les autres, nous nous sentons compris. Par conséquent, il existe surement des moyens de se rapprocher à inventer. Par exemple, nous pouvons travailler ensemble à des projets internationaux ou de formation. La France et les Pays-Bas ont déjà indiqué qu'ils avaient déjà collaboré. Peut-être il ya d'autres possibilités pour créer un avenir.
